AFCIA was co-founded by Homa Taraji and Hamid Ladjevardi to establish a non-profit foundation dedicated to developing strong cultural ties between the United States and Iran through introduction and promotion of contemporary Iranian to the American public.
AFCIA Structure
Establish a professional, non-profit foundation led by a group of distinguished Americans and Iranians with a long-term commitment to developing strong cultural ties between the United States and Iran with the following construct:
• Honorary Committee
• Advisory Council
• Board of Directors
Board of Directors Roles and Responsibilities
– Actively engage in fund raising activities to support annual operations through:
– Fund raising events
– Contributions
– Identify additional board of directors and advisory council members
– Form an executive committee of the board, which will actively participate in Board meetings. The executive committee will consist of the following positions:
– Chairman
– Vice Chairman
– Treasurer
– Secretary
– Development Committee Chair
– Exhibition Sub-committee Chair
– Grants and Scholarships Sub-committee Chair
– Public Relations Sub-committee Chair
– Fund Raising Committee Chair
